I get this error when i tried to install the dock ,
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
and also a 404 error, can someone help me

hi um whenever i go to enable desktop effects * i click it* it loads for a second then says Desktop effects could not be enabled

oops it should be like this…. i missed the 8 in it……

sudo wget http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb/DD800CD9.gpg

and then

sudo apt-key add-

and then sudo apt-get update

if you still didn’t get it go to the site
http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb/
and download the key dd800cd9.gpg
and then go to system->software sources
go to the tab authentication and import the downloaded key……
and then type
sudo apt-get update
in the terminal
